In the honour of mothers

A special day in the honour of mothers By Hairwaves by Charbel

A special day in the honour of mothers, Mother’s Day is celebrated in several countries around the world, when children pay their humblest tribute to their mothers and thank them for giving them birth and providing them with the best of care and upbringing.

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and, Charbel Doumit, founder and owner of ‘HAIRWAVES by Charbel’ offers up some Beauty tips and tricks for the mothers that devote her life to her family.

1-      Don’t be afraid of keeping a length but Work on your technique

If you have long hair, it’s important to get a couple quick and easy updo techniques in your arsenal. There is nothing wrong with a ponytail, but do not adopt the stereotypical mom ’do for good. Try twisting your hair up into a loose side bun or wrapping a braid around itself to create styles that are almost as easy to accomplish but feel more sophisticated.

2-      Get a great haircut

Get a good haircut that embraces the natural texture of your hair so you don’t have to fight it every day.

3-      You don’t have time to style your hair every day. Keep it simple!

Many mothers tend to go super short on their hair length to save time on hair care. But a better tip for new moms is to just get a smart cut with layers or steps that add volume. Tie your hair up in easy and classic hairdos, a messy bun or a side-braid. It will keep hair off your face, and keep you looking chic.

4-      Go for a Botox treatment:

Don’t be a slave to the hair dryer try a Botox treatment and get your hair healthier, shinier, and ready to celebrate any occasion.

5-      Colouring:

Follow the three-level rule. Mother’s put the interests of her children ahead of her own time and spending on top of all her motherly duties, this is why I advise them to never change their hair colour more than three levels; it requires too much salon time to maintain.

6-      Remember your basic skin care
I’ve heard from so many mommy’s that they do not have time to care for their skin and how they found their skin deteriorating over the years. If you don’t have a lot of time, at least do these three things – cleanse, moisturize and apply a sunscreen. And don’t forget to extend your caring touch to include your neck and body too!

7-        Update your wardrobe with new items once in a while
being a mother does not mean you cannot look hip or chic.  Update your wardrobe once a while or at least get some new accessories to spruce up the look, a fashion magazine can give you some ideas on how to look good without breaking the bank.

At the end, Charbel doumit praised all the mothers’ efforts everywhere in the world and said “Mother’s Day is not for celebrating moms. It’s for celebrating all they’ve given us.”

“Have a happy Mother’s Day!! Dear all mothers.
