Women’s Fashion Highlighted at “Lakii 2012”

Abu Dhabi:Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) yesterday inaugurated the premier Abaya, Dara’ah and Evening Gowns Exhibition “Lakii 2012” at the Sheraton Hotel and Resort inAbu Dhabi.

The four-day event which highlights women’s fashion witnessed a tremendous participation of various exhibitors and visitors.

Ms.Maha Al Abri, Project Manager of Lakii 2012 said: “Fashion is for everyone. Only the degree to which women adapt it varies. Every woman has that recurring dream of being a fashionista and Lakii 2012 gives every woman an outlet to express that dream, be it the everyday working woman or home-maker or upcoming fashion designers.

“Lakii showcases trendy and modern styles as well as ethnical designs giving visitors a chance to choose from their most preferred designs. Women must be reeling with enthusiasm for this premier event which is certainly designed exclusively for them.” Added Ms. Al Abri

The Exhibition targeted at women and families will create a launch pad for upcoming designers as well as an avenue for existing international, local and regional designs in the UAE, GCC and International Countries.

Many local and gulf fashion houses and designers participate at Lakii Exhibition such as; Seniorita Abayat, Malaz Al Nawaem Abaya (Khlood Zayed), Darrati, Dar Al Reem, Damas Abayat, Princess Shadow Fashions, Saja Al Layl, Aldar Al Malaki Fashion and Abayat Tara from Bahrain ; N style from Qatar, Dashi from KSA, Silk Road Center, Jenan Al Eidan, and

 Exhibitors showcased attractive and unique designs

Anousha from Kuwait, Mammoo sss the style , Feryal Bastaki (Neswah boutique), Dantella Designs for Abaya and Jalabiya, Ghanati couture, Kani, Kanzi, Antee, Rodon for Abaya and Jalabiya and Papion Fashion by Nahla from UAE, and Sailash & Shalini India Kolkata from India.

Exhibitors will showcase varying styles of Abayas, Sheila, dara’ah, evening gowns, traditional wear and occasional wear at the event.
