Victorinox Swiss Army’s Infantry GMT

Victorinox Swiss Army’s newly-launched Infantry GMT is the world travellers’ new best friend

Never be out of touch with two time zones

Dubai, UAE: Victorinox Swiss Army expands 2014 Infantry collection ideal for long distance travellers.  Classic, robust, practical and multifunctional, Infantry GMT is equipped with a quartz movement in lacquered dark grey dial and features a complication that allows one to track local time and the hour back at home.

As its name suggests, Infantry GMT indicates a second time zone depending on the choice of the wearer – a much appreciated function for world travellers.   Along with the dial’s hour, minute and second hand is a red central hand marking the hour in the second time zone. The second time zone numbers are engraved on the bezel, with the number 24 printed at noon in Victorinox red, the same iconic colour used on many of the brand’s classic knife cases.

In every way, Infantry GMT remains faithful to the qualities that have made the line a success. The 40mm stainless steel case retains its fluid and clean lines. Stylistic references are principally drawn from the world of military watches, but with retro appeal. This is particularly evident in the design of the indexes, which are inspired by old typewriter fonts.

Powered by Swiss Made Ronda 515 quartz movement and comes with an ecologically tanned brown leather strap or a Milanese-style steel bracelet, Infantry GMT is available at select Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and 1915 by Seddiqi stores.

About Victorinox Swiss Army

Victorinox Swiss Army watches have nothing to envy the celebrated multifunctional knife used by the Swiss army. The two product families share the same values that embody Swiss savoir-faire.  They are a byword for high quality, ingenuity, multifunctionality and durability. Victorinox Swiss Army produces its timepieces in its own workshops according to criteria that prioritise technical performance to optimise practical utility. They meet the strictest standards of the Swiss watchmaking industry and therefore carry a three-year guarantee. They are genuine precision instruments, styled to be simultaneously modern and timeless, and designed to last

Victorinox Swiss Army watches are proud to have their place in the tradition of a family business established at Ibach, in the heart of Switzerland, 130 years ago. Victorinox continues to produce knives, which are indispensable not only to millions of ordinary people all over the world, but also to the military of a dozen armies and to NASA astronauts. The Swiss Army Knife has grown to be a cult object and occupies an honourable place in the collections of the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York. It continues to develop as the years go by, persistently incorporating fresh functions.  In keeping with this ethos, Victorinox has diversified its product range to include watches, luggage, clothing and fragrances.
