Dubai, UAE – TheWorld of Fashion’ finale was a star studded event, hosted by Majid Al Futtaim’s luxury destination Mall of the Emirates. The festival came to a close with the surprise appearance of star guest Najwa Karam, as multi-brand concept Etoile “La Boutique” was brought to the runway for two glamourous shows.

To mark the splendid finale yesterday, the audience was enthralled by the presence of their Guest of Honour -Najwa Karam. The best-selling recording artist and fashion icon of the Middle East graced the ‘World of Fashion’ stage, posed for photos, greeted fans and highlighted the pivotal role of the festival in bolstering Dubai’s position as the fashion capital of the Middle East.

The fashion elite were out in full force to be seated amongst the VIPs and local personalities, to celebrate the fourth edition of ‘World of Fashion’. Luxury brands presented included Halston Heritage, Juicy Couture, Ted Baker, Herve Lager, Elie Tahari, to name a few. A charming selection of kids fashion brands also paraded the ‘World of Fashion’ stage with styles by Cavalli Kids and Miss Blumarine, in addition to a tailored makeup studio by Katakeet.

Highlights of this season included catwalk shows by international designers such as Halston Heritage andCalifornia’s Juicy Couture, brought by Majid Al Futtaim Fashion in the Middle East, and the live on stage make-over demonstration by famed Lebanese celebrity makeup artist Bassam Fattouh. To support aspiring designers, Tiffany & Co presented an award as part of its ‘Emerging Designer’ campaign, to one talented design student from a UAE university to grow their potential.

Once again, Mall of the Emirates’ ‘World of Fashion’ festival has brought international fashion designers, aspiring talent and contemporary beauty under one roof, creating great moments for everyone.

This year, Mall of the Emirates has extended its celebration of fashion beyond the official schedule of ‘World of Fashion’ by delving into the history of fashion, giving a second breath to the origin of contemporary fashion. Diane Von Furstenberg’s 40th anniversary celebration showcases the original maker of the wrap dress by bringing the traveling ‘Journey of a Dress’ exhibition to Dubai from Oct 24th – 31st.

Throughout the month of October, Mall of the Emirates will be celebrating the Autumn/Winter fashion season with the chance to win up to AED 100,000 in shopping sprees. With every AED 650 spend, shoppers are eligible to win a new wardrobe worth AED 25,000 each week, featuring the hottest collections of the season.
