A Feminine Take on Military Chic Marks Emma Logue’s Fourth Collection
DUBAI, NOVEMBER 2013: Now shipping to the G.C.C., LOGUE London has just released its
Autumn|Winter 2013 collection, which makes a strong aesthetic change from the ultra-feminine
Spring|Summer. “I wanted to create something a bit androgynous, but with a feminine twist,” says
designer Emma Logue. “It’s all about a play on contrast.”
In the Shirtdress Boutique, the signature Emma style appears in tailored wool crepes and cashmere
mixes, with contrast piping, gold buttons and high necklines—a masculinity that is tempered by
details such as pink cuffs and kick pleats, suede trim and leather bow belts. “We introduce new spins
every season, but you can always spot a LOGUE shirtdress by its lux fabrics and flashes of colour,”
Emma says. “We’ve truly become the go-to brand for the luxurious shirtdress.”
The Collection—LOGUE’s line of staple separates—carries the hard-yet-soft theme even further in
pieces like the wool-cashmere Camilla Jacket, featuring a stiff collar and a cadet blue hue, as well as
the Tamara ribbed trousers, which could serve as any modern woman’s daily uniform. Meanwhile,
the velvet-chiffon Louisa gown and the textured Nicole dress appear conservative at first glance but
reveal plunging backs on the reverse.
When it comes to Accessories, the third division of LOGUE London, brand loyalists will be thrilled
to hear that the cashmere-and-suede tasseled shawl is back—after selling out in mere weeks last year.
This versatile piece is so neutral yet striking that you can (and will) take it everywhere. Prim bow belts
in leather and snakeskin perfectly complement shirtdress looks and collection ensembles.
Shirtdresses range from AED 1600 to AED 2100, collection ranges from AED 1525 to AED 3050
and accessories range from AED 595 to AED 1862.
