THE JEWELLERY CITY SHINES WITH THE NEW EDITION OF

VICENZAORO SEPTEMBER 2016 DEDICATED TO “THE GOLDEN TOUCH”

Vicenza’s international gold and jewellery show returned with a brand new area dedicated to watches

VICENZA – VICENZAORO September, the international gold and jewellery show organised by Fiera di Vicenza, opened its doors in the city of Palladio, with 1,300 brands from 35 different countries, including all of Italy’s gold districts,

The event, a key global and national networking rendezvous, was eagerly awaited by all stakeholders in the industry and organised at a strategic point of the year, when sales in the trade at their peak, because of the pending end-of-the-year holiday period. Confirmed as one of the world’s leading gold and jewellery shows, VICENZAORO September is also renowned in the industry for providing an observatory to very latest trends and a preview of what is coming in the future. The industry players had an opportunity to meet and to select some of the trendiest collections of gold and jewellery, as well as to receive previews of market trends. They also saw previews of the latest design trends together with the cultural aspects that gravitate around the jewellery industry.

The central theme of the show was “The Golden Touch.” Involving the many voices of the jewellery industry, it covered six sub-themes: product excellence, both national and international products (The Touch of Well Done); Corporate Social Responsibility (The Human Touch); distribution (Get in Touch); new trends in the industry and the marketplace (The New Touch); international aspects (The Global Touch); communication (The Touch of Words); as well as cultural elements associated with the world of jewellery.

Fiera di Vicenza has boosted its standing as one of the world’s major trade fair organizers for the gold and jewellery industry, with the success of the second VICENZAORO DUBAI (April 14-17, 2016) and its active presence at the most important sector meetings in strategic markets, including participation at the America’s leading event, the JCK Show in Las Vegas (June 3-6, 2016), with 120 Italian brands, and participation at the India International Jewellery Show (August 4-8, 2016).

The September edition of VICENZAORO featured a new and exclusive section called NOW “Not Ordinary Watches. It has showcased a selection of innovative brand and designer watches made in Italy and Europe, from an industry that, in terms of distribution and reference markets, is closely tied to the jewellery world.

The NOW Plaza, dedicated to watches, was located in the ICON District, which is exclusive community for global brands in the jewellery industry. It is one of five districts in the VICENZAORO The Boutique ShowTM format (ICON, LOOK, CREATION, EXPRESSION, ESSENCE), which together provide a comprehensive overview of production excellence in gold and international jewellery. It will be an inspirational area, grouping together the different stories of independent brands, and characterised by strong knowhow, design and research into innovation. The watch brands include Altanus Geneve, Brosway, Didofà, Gagà Milano, Ju’sto, Locman, Lucien Rochart, Paul Picot, Save My Day, Sordi Spa, Terra Cielo Mare and Montres Louis Erard.
