UAE STREET FOOD FAVES GEAR UP FOR EAT THE WORLD DXB
Top local food trucks join forces with London’s finest street food traders
Jumeirah Restaurant Group’s new brunch-inspired ‘BRUGO’ food truck to debut at event
Dubai, UAE: A colourful collection of the UAE’s funkiest food trucks will join forces with 15 of London’s finest gourmet food trucks at next week’s Eat the World DXB.
The hip, new street food event is the opening salvo in this year’s three-week Dubai Food Festival, a city-wide celebration of all-things culinary running 25th February – 12th March.
The carefully-selected convoy of 12 UAE food trucks – chosen on their originality and the diversity of their culinary concepts – include favourites such as The Biryani Pot, Shebi, Melt, Hip Pop, Jones the Grocer, Taqado Mexican Kitchen, Desert Chill, Jakes, RAW Coffee and Yumtingz. Food options range from tacos and burgers to gourmet ice-cream and organic coffee.
“It’s an exciting time for street food in the UAE and the combination of local and British traders at Eat The World DXB will be a celebration of the street food movement,” said Philip Lowery, Event Director of Eat the World DXB.
Making its high-profile debut at Eat the World DXB will be Jumeirah Restaurant Group’s new brunch inspired food truck concept: BRUGO. Created by Jumeirah Restaurant Group Dubai, BRUGO is the UAE’s first brunch truck and ultimate new go-to for laid back brunch cuisine.
“BRUGO evokes the street food revolution sweeping the UAE and worldwide – it is an original, eclectic dining concept that can be enjoyed by all. We are bringing brunch back to what it should be – all about the food – and it can’t get much better than that,” said Nicholas Cuadrado, Executive Development Chef, JRG Dubai.
