BOVET unveils DIMIER 2014 collection
Launches Récital 11 Miss Alexandra, Récital 12 Monsieur DIMIER, Récital 15 and Recital 16
Dubai: BOVET takes pride in the technical prowess of the 2014 DIMIER collection. With its authentic expression of genuine luxury, those have grown accustomed to DIMIER timepieces that reveal much of the ingenuity and beautiful decoration of their exquisite moving parts, will not be disappointed. Artisans’ virtuoso work demonstrated a passion for perfection, as seen in Récital 11 Miss Alexandra, Récital 12 Monsieur DIMIER, Récital 15 and Recital 16.
Récital 11 ‘Miss Alexandra’
The first timepiece in its history not to have a round case, Récital 11 ‘Miss Alexandra’ is a vertical ellipse Tourbillon that caused a sensation among experts and collectors of fine watchmaking. This timepiece owes its huge success to the perfect execution of even the smallest details, but also to the design of its case and its ideally balanced proportions. The unbound enthusiasm generated up by this timepiece since its launch led Pascal Raffy, Bovet owner and his team to develop a new interpretation featuring the emblematic oval case.
As a BOVET timepiece would be unthinkable without the possibilities of personalization offered by the virtuosity of artisans of the House, the Récital 11 is available in 18-carat red or white gold and can be set with round or baguette-cut diamonds. The case may also be hand-chiseled to match the decoration of the movement. The very wide range of combinations available is sure to meet the tastes of even the most demanding connoisseurs.
Récital 12 ‘Monsieur DIMIER’
Calibre Virtuoso II Spécialité Horlogère Dimier 1738
Récital 12 ‘Monsieur DIMIER’ is a new timepiece destined to leave its mark not only on the history of the House of BOVET, but on the world of Haute Horlogerie generally. Impregnated with two centuries of watchmaking tradition, the Récital 12 ‘Monsieur DIMIER’ is brimming with innovations that keep this heritage alive and is available in 18-carat red or white gold.
The timepiece features classic, timeless qualities. The main considerations for a piece of this nature were its volumes and balanced proportions. The ideal thickness of the movement (3.9mm) ensures the necessary rigidity for perfect timekeeping and allows it to be housed in a 42mm diameter case with an overall thickness of 9.1mm, ideally suited for the purpose.
Récital 15
Jumping Hour, Retrograde Minute and Seconds Carriage
Calibre Virtuoso II Spécialité Horlogère Dimier 1738
Virtuoso II, the new movement manufactured by DIMIER 1738, underlines its versatility by revealing the first of many personas in conjunction with the Récital 15. The architecture and decoration of the timepiece convey a sense of unity of tradition and innovation. The elegance of the circular Côtes de Genève decorations centred on the seconds-hand, the sandblasted surfaces and polished steels bear witness to the same masterful technique as that demonstrated by the Manufacture’s artisans when they engrave the totality of a movement by hand. To keep the collection’s identity, indications are displayed on the horizontal axis of the timepiece. As we lift our sleeve, the dial reveals hours, minutes and seconds in chronological order.
Récital 16
7-Day Tourbillon with Triple Time Zone Tourbillon
Calibre Rising Star II Spécialité Horlogère Dimier 1738
Récital 16 is a Triple Time Zone Tourbillon whose dial alone is worthy of the status of watchmaking complication, in view of the complexity of its development and manufacture and the sum of its technical and aesthetic constraints. Avant-garde in its design and technical functions, it has been manufactured in accordance with the decorative arts of fine watchmaking and the emphasis on quality praised by BOVET for 192 years. The timepiece can be personalized by a setting of round or baguette-cut diamonds and a classic or personalized hand engraving. It is available in 18-carat red or white gold. Designed for an inveterate traveller and collector, this timepiece has everything to satisfy even the most demanding of like-minded individuals.
