Van Cleef & Arpels’ boutique re-opens its doors in celebration of its 10th Anniversary in the Middle East
The High Jewelry Maison unveils the new boutique in The Dubai Mall
Dubai: A reflection of the Maison’s historical address, in Paris’ Place Vendôme, Van Cleef & Arpels celebrated its 10th Anniversary in the Middle East at its newly transformed boutique at the prestigious Dubai Mall. The inauguration was held in the presence of Mr. Alban Belloir, Van Cleef & Arpels Managing Director of Middle East and India.
Friends of the Maison were warmly welcomed to discover a dream-like décor, evoking the enchanted nature which is reminiscent in many of Van Cleef & Arpels creations. Nurtured by influences of a private French Salon of the Art Nouveau period,powdery hues in a sumptuous array of silk and velvet surround the traditional façade, creating a light and airy space, gracefully setting the scene for the renowned High Jewelry collections.
Every season the Maison unveils dreamlike creations with a creativity that never ceases to delight and surprise. In honour of its 10th Anniversary in the region, Van Cleef & Arpels offers an exquisite addition to its collection: a unique Zip necklace, epitomising the Maison’s signature flair for sophisticated design.
This exclusive edition of the Zip necklace carries all the heritage and expertise of one of the most iconic pieces of the Maison. Honouring the sobriety of the Zip necklace, it cleverly encases a zipper, with the closure sliding up and down, allowing the creation to be left partially open or even closed entirely to form a bracelet. This piece gathers together diamonds, emeralds and sapphires delicately placed in a stunning yellow gold setting, recalling the spirit of the Maison. The fluid and feminine movement of the necklace invokes a timeless elegance, a truly magnificent example of the craftsmanship of Van Cleef & Arpels.
For this 10th Anniversary in the region, the Maison celebrates its watchmaking expertise through a special limited edition timepiece created only for the Middle East; the Lady Arpels Papillon Extraordinaire Malachite timepiece.
Exclusively in yellow gold, this creation is born of the feminine and incomparably delicate line, the Lady Arpels Extraordinary DialsTM collection. Paying homage to the dial-makers savoir-faire, the play of light brings the butterfly to life and its wings flutter warm colors in plique-à-jour enameling. The malachite marquetry and sculpture on gold motif contrasts with its shimmering diamond setting. Van Cleef & Arpels strives to capture the movements of nature at their most beautiful instants – when nature’s vital force and intense fragility bloom simultaneously.
