Spring clean your mind, body and soul at Talise Spa

Kick-start a healthy year with Madinat Jumeirah’s four-week detox programme 

Dubai: Madinat Jumeirah, the luxurious Arabian resort of Dubai, has created an exclusive four week detox programme available at the award-winning Talise Spa in February and March.

Carefully designed to kick-start a healthier lifestyle, the Spring Cleanse Retreat, is supervised by the Talise Spa Medical Director Dr Elisabeth Makk in conjunction with Detox Delight, a Dubai based company that specialises in healthy juices and tailored detox programmes. The package offers participants the support to focus, cleanse, detox, relax and rejuvenate in a serene spa environment. Each aspect of the retreat has a specific function to aid and assist with the cleansing and detox process.

The four week programme begins and concludes with a medical consultation by Dr Makk and includes two full body wellness scans. It also offers a five day juice plan, two detoxifying body treatments, a computerized skin analysis session, eight infrared sauna sessions, eight yoga sessions, and one full moon yoga session on the pristine sandy beach of Madinat Jumeirah.

Participants can access Talise Spa’s relaxation facilities, which include the sauna, a steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, outdoor day retreat pool and space for relaxation.

Dr Elisabeth Makk will conduct a consultation and wellness scan at the beginning and end of the programme to identify overall health, potential body and organ dysfunctions, and the necessary treatments, nutritional and lifestyle changes.

The two 90-minute detox body treatments will boost the blood and lymphatic circulation, to invigorate the mind and body. Eight infrared sauna sessions will flush toxins from the body to relieve stress and soothe muscles. The computerised skin analysis measures and interprets different skin types and is beneficial for anyone with sun damage, ageing skin, hyperpigmentation and Dry or oily skin. Group yoga, Tai Chi and full moon yoga sessions will help to realign the body and mind, improve posture, and increase lung capacity.
