“This is further evidence that Italy is continuing to lead the way forward, dominating the market through its creative blend of contemporary and modern design,” said Italian Trade Commissioner for the UAE market, Ferdinando Fiore.
Fiore was speaking at the recent Italian Luxury Interiors exhibition in Dubai, featuring 34 of Italy’s finest artisans and attended by more than 200 leading UAE-based architects, interior designers and wholesale buyers.
“Our exhibitors were met with great enthusiasm from the national business community – which set the tone for this vibrant exhibition which was full of dynamic products and many new-to-market lines,” added Fiore.
“The UAE has always appreciated design, elegance and quality which we feel is synonymous with the ‘Made in Italy’ products that were showcased.”
Many of the fair’s exhibitors visited the UAE looking to strike fruitful partnerships with national suppliers, whilst others came to nurture already successful national and Middle East market relationships.
The Italian Trade Commission, Trade Promotion Section of the Italian Embassy, is the leading government agency responsible for building and enhancing trade relations and business between Italy and the UAE in cooperation with ARTEX and CNA, the National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises.
