Created by British Master Perfumer Roja Dove, NÜWA is warm and dry: spicy, leathery and sensual
[Dubai, April 2014] Ancient Chinese legend inspires British Master Perfumer Roja Dove to compose a perfume as an author might a story, but with fragrance notes as words. NÜWA is a tender liquid narrative that will seduce the soul with the scent of flowers, mosses, herbs and spices on a sensual base of leather. Like all great perfumes, NÜWA has quite a story to tell. Within the silent world of fragrance, British Master Perfumer Roja Dove narrates the most well-known of China’s ancient legends; that of the beautiful and merciful goddess NÜWA who is said to have created woman and man, wealth and prosperity. According to the legend, all Chinese people are her descendants. NÜWA is exclusively available at Paris Gallery.
NÜWA is presented in a square glass flacon. The flacon stopper, the leitmotif of the Roja Parfums brand, is hand set with fourteen Swarovski crystals exclusively produced in the deepest ruby red; a colour traditionally associated, in Chinese culture, with joy, good fortune and celebrations such as the Lunar New Year and weddings. To add intense ‘fire’ to the crystals; the ancient Chinese associated the power of red with the intensity of its ‘fire’ and ‘heat’, each crystal is specially faceted in a style that mirrors the symmetry and proportions of an extraordinary and rare diamond worn by Roja, adding exquisite brilliance and luminosity to the cap that crowns the bottle.
